Your store is ready to shine, and showcasing the right products is key to creating a great shopping experience. This guide will help you add products to your store, link existing ones, highlight featured items, and organize your product display to drive sales effectively.

How to Add Products to Your Store

Add a New Product

If you don’t have any products yet, you’ll need to create them first.

  • Navigate to the Product Catalog section in the main menu.

  • Click + Create Product and add key details like the product name, SKU, and pricing.

How to Link Products to Your Store

If you already have products in your catalog, you can easily add them to your store by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Store Catalog section in the main menu.

  2. Select your store.

  3. Assign products to the store.

  4. Save your changes to ensure the product is visible in your store.

Tip: After saving, preview your store to confirm the product appears correctly and is ready for customers to browse.

Set Default Sort Order

The default sort order determines how your products are displayed in your store, shaping your customers' browsing experience. Mash Commerce Cloud™ offers several options to align with your sales strategy and business goals:

  • Alphabetical: Display products alphabetically by name, making it easy for customers to find specific items.

  • Top Sellers: Highlight your best-selling products to draw attention to what’s popular with other customers.

  • Most Bundled: Showcase products frequently purchased together to promote complementary or bundled items.

Tip: Choose a default sort order that best aligns with your sales strategy. For example, use “Top Sellers” to emphasize your most popular items or “Most Bundled” to highlight products that drive higher average order value (AOV).

Set Featured Products

Featured products let you highlight specific items by placing them front and center in your store. Whether it’s new arrivals, seasonal items, or best-sellers, featured products help you grab customer attention and drive sales.

  1. Navigate to the Products section of the Edit Store page.

  2. Select the product(s) you want to feature.

  3. Mark them as Featured to ensure they appear at the front of your store’s product display.

Note: Featured products override the default sort order, placing them at the top of the list for maximum visibility.

How to Remove Products from Your Store

If a product is no longer available or you want to stop selling it:

  1. Navigate to the Products section.

  2. Select the product you want to remove.

  3. Unlink the product from your store or deactivate it from your catalog.

Important: Removing a product from your store does not delete it from your catalog. This allows you to reactivate it later if needed.

Best Practices for Managing Products

  1. Keep It Fresh: Regularly update your product offerings to keep your store relevant and exciting for returning customers.

  2. Monitor Performance: Use analytics to identify which products are driving sales and adjust your featured items or sort order accordingly.

  3. Maintain Accuracy: Ensure product details, images, and pricing are accurate to avoid customer confusion.
